Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst
Type: Contract- 6 months
Location: Atlanta, GA 30339

The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in the development and maintenance of new and dynamic products and support systems; as related to business, advertising, and programming functionality and processes. This individual is the primary contact with internal business customers and acts as the liaison between the customer and the development organization on assigned projects. The primary responsibilities of the Sr. Business Analyst are to work with customers to analyze, define, and document detailed business requests and requirements, ensure proper alignment of technical implementation with business goals, and to provide post-implementation analysis related support. This individual will need to be team focused, highly motivated, and results oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis, definition, and documentation of varied business initiatives to support the development of new, and the enhancement of existing business and technical systems and processes.
  • Work with Project Management and other senior technical staff to determine the work products required for the relative initiative(s).
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate sessions to define, analyze, and document new/updated business requests, requirements, and processes.
  • Secure customer buy-in and signoff on business analysis work products.
  • Develop an understanding of current-state operational processes to help in the definition and implementation of improved processes as part of the overall solution architecture.
  • Analyze, define, and document new business processes with particular attention to the impact on predecessor/successor processes and functions.
  • Recommend and implement methods that continuously support process and organizational improvement. Solicit suggestions for better and more efficient ways of creating and maintaining client products and services.
  • Provide recommendations for organizational change relative to department, group, and/or individual responsibilities based on changes in processes/systems.
  • Provide leadership where necessary in the execution of daily activities.
  • Mentor junior team members in the development of the necessary skill sets.

Requirements:

  • BS or BA in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent related experience; 5+ years of Business/MIS experience
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst or related role, 5+ years
  • Experience working with both customer groups & IT resources
  • Experience with the broadcast/cable TV business is desired
  • Experience developing/prototyping products, software applications, and/or data modelling is a plus
  • Experience with developing hardware products, hardware manufacturing also a plus
  • Experience with automated reporting tools and methodologies is a plus
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people and vice versa
  • Must have the ability to work closely with customers in defining and documenting business requests and requirements
  • Must have the ability to work closely with customers in determining current and future business processes
  • Must have the ability to model/re-engineer business processes
  • Must have the ability to manage several active projects simultaneously
  • Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision, as required
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal teamwork skills
