Cost & Planning Engineer (Project Execution) required to join a global oil and gas company located in Ireland.

The Cost & Planning Engineer is responsible for the preparation of project plans, schedule, estimates and budgetary information. They will be responsible for all project cost planning activities from Design through Construction and Commissioning and handover to operations. The Cost Planning Engineer will proactively monitor progress against the budget and schedule and provide management reports to the Project team and Project Services Manager including Latest Forecast information to the project accountant. They will also assist in the development of procurement and contracting strategies.

The role requires close working with the team`s discipline engineers and counterparts in the Contractors organisations. It also requires a confident communicator, both internally and externally. The Cost & Planning engineer will represent Project at various third party forums, including co-venture and contractor meetings (if required).

The Cost & Planning Engineer (Project Execution) will:
* Work within and help to advance EPE`s Health and Safety and Environmental policy.

Cost/Monthly Reporting
* Ensure timely delivery of monthly cost data and VOWD to project management and accountant/finance manager.
* Co-ordination of cost and planning activities with Contractors /Assets.
* Review budgets estimates by Contractors and deliver variance and trend analysis report.
* Ensure timely delivery of project monthly reporting.
* Develop positive relationship and liaise as appropriate with stakeholders, co-ventures, and other third parties.
* Monitor Project Forecast against AFE (Approved for Expenditure) and advise of timely requirement for submission of revised AFEs.
* Prepare Cost and Planning elements of AFE.
* Develop familiarity with the SAP Blueprint and Business Warehouse.
* Produce Project S-Curves and Progress Reports in line with Progress Management Guides.

* Ensure timely delivery of schedules, plans and updates, progress reporting against the plan, operation of appropriate control and corrective action mechanisms, and feedback to project management of all matters concerning the plan.
* Input to the project work integration process, Asset Planning Discussions (IAPM).
* Utilise Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Planning Tools.
* Expert in the use of all MS Office tools, and especially MS Excel.

Risk & Change Control
* Participate and contribute to the project`s risk management process
* Participate and contribute to the project`s change management process

* Assist in Project Close Out and preparation of Data Books.
* Work closely with Supply Chain/Procurement to create Requisitions for Services and Material Purchase Orders using SAP.
* Attend Project VAR`s and Peer Reviews and other meetings as required.
* Comply with the requirements of the Cost and Planning Toolbox.
* Where required complete relevant information for PROMIS tool.
