Description

Chase Resourcing are delighted to be working with a high end web development company based in the UK. Since their formation, my client has established themselves as one of the market leaders in PHP development in the Sheffield and Manchester areas.

As part of their current recruitment drive, they are actively looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join their 80+ team. You will be working on a wide variety of projects but particular emphasis will be placed on your ability to develop in PHP and your working knowledge of the Magento ecommerce platform.

Important characteristics you will require for this include:

  • An ability to work on your own initiative and ability to work on various different platforms and technologies
  • Working experience as a PHP developer, the more the better!
  • Drive and ambition to become the best, we want the best and want you to be the best!
  • The ability to work as part of a team, you’re going to be working as part of a close knit team of developers so you’ll need to be able to communicate with them both written and verbally through English.
  • You have previously implemented PHP based applications and you have a strong understanding of the recognised requirements for best practice in software development.
  • Travel will be a part of this role, as you will be working out of one of our client’s offices in either London or Manchester and occasionally you will need to go onsite to clients around the country.
  • Zend and/or MySQL certifications are a nice bonus but they not required. The good news is all new employees will need to become Zend Certified Engineers within the first few months of employment and that will be at the company’s expense!
  • The right to live and work in the UK. Unfortunately because of the urgency of this role, my client is not in a position to support work permit applications, so you will need to be eligible to work in the UK
