My client is currently looking for a Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join their projects team. Please see below the description of the position and apply directly if interested.Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties
· Operationally serves as discipline engineer and analyst on studies or sanctioned projects
· Provides engineering and analysis solutions for pipeline preliminary and detailed design and information for material selection
· Maintains expertise in pipeline sizing/ buckling solutions/ span/ terminations technical developments and solution methods
· Provides information as required for installation engineering, methods and equipment for pipeline/ umbilical installation analyses
· Assists in technical software usage guidance and validation of internally generated routines
· Works with Flow Assurance personnel in establishing functional requirements
Non Technical
· Cooperates with work sharing with fellow pipeline engineers and interfacing disciplines
· Assists other personnel within the Pipeline team
· Works toward compliance with internal Quality procedures
· Adheres to company work processes to ensure that deliverable documents are of consistent high quality
· Plans work and establishes priorities to ensure work is completed on schedule
· Represents Doris Inc in a positive and professional manner
Performs other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor
Software Skills Required
· Windows Office expertise (VB or VBA capability preferred)
· Familiar with pipeline static and dynamicc analysis software (Offpipe / Orcaflex preferred)
· Strong understanding of stress analysis FEA suites (Abaqus preferred)
Familiarity with Mathcad
Education/Professional Registration/Work Experience Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
· PE registration in Texas preferred
· 3+ years experience working for consulting engineers, oil and gas exploration/production companies, or installation contractors on offshore pipelines and flowlines
Pipeline analysis experience required in at least 3 of 5 areas (pipeline wall/grade sizing, buckling assessment, flow analysis, VIV, span analysis, installation analysis)
