Computer Futures are seeking a highly experienced, proactive Systems Administrator to work for a market leading client based in the Oxford or Reading areas. Please take a look at the skill set required below:Core responsibilities for the role include:
- Implementing distributed infrastructure
- Working to best practices
- Staying up to date with the latest developments
- Implementing, managing and monitoring HA availability across different services
- Help develop the Linux skillset of the technical operations team
- Deployment automation
Essential Skills:
- An extensive background in infrastructure management within a Linux environment
- 10 years+ experience in Linux Administration
- Strong exposure to Virtualisation, Xen/VMware
- Hands on track record and desire to remain hands on.
- Amazon cloud services experience. As a minimum experience with S3, EC2.
- Deployment automation
- Server configuration management
- Solr deployment and optimisation
- Memcache
- Apache web server
- Apache traffic server
- HA mysql (Master to Master replication, clustering)
- ActiveMQ
- Awstats
