I am currently looking for a Work Pack Engineer to join a leading drilling contractor in their Aberdeen office on a 12 month contract which is likely to extend.You main duty will include development, production and issue of offshore engineering workpacks (destruct and construct.)
Roles and responsibilities:
- Ensuring content of workpacks are appropriate to the task and that all relevant procedures are identified and captured to carry out tasks safely
- Liase with Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE and Quality Groups to ensure workpacks are appropriate to task
- Provide input to CTR's and cost estimates
- Assemble 3rd party input to workpacks e.g. - risk assessments and vendors procedures
- Provide support to offshore teams during workpack implementation phase and especially during final commissioning/red lining, including, if required, periodic offshore visits to support the construction team
- Consolidate single or multi-discipline scopes of work into integrated work-packs
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in relevant discipline
- Experience working with a drilling contractor
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
- Previous offshore construction industry experience essential
- Knowledge of recognised offshore industry HSE standards
- Offshore survival, medical and MIST certification
Advantageous:
- Offshore surveying and report writing
- Knowledge of Drilling Packages
- QA/QC control mechanisms, including acceptance of vendor documentation
- NEBOSH
Competencies:
- Able to analyse and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to break-down tasks into logical sequences
This role will require some offshore work therefore you must be willing to work offshore and complete relevant certifications.
