E & I Engineer (SAP)- 1 year- South West ( Bristol)- £30-£33 an hour
My chemical client is looking for an E&I Engineer (SAP) to join their team on a 1 year contract, with a permanent role available at the end. The client is looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation engineer with experience in the process industry.
Key Skills
- Area classification, DSEAR compliance within the process industry sector
- Protection concepts for both electrical and non-electrical equipment to be installed in potentially explosive atmospheres
- Electrostatic hazard control and mitigation
- Compex training (in any parts)
- SAP
- Application of process measurement (fieldbus, wireless, analogue, digital)
- Microsoft office packages (be a competent user)
Knowledge in the following areas would be useful but can be gained over time:
- International standards, regulatory requirements and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP) across the process industry sector
- CAD: Bentley Microstation/AutoCAD
- Design and maintenance practices for electrical and non-electrical equipment installed in potentially explosive atmospheres
- Functionally safety management (IEC61511)
- Risk management (PHA/LOPA)
- Protective requirement specification development
- Specification, design and construct (IL1-IL3) protective systems
- Alarm management
- Installation management/supervision
- Knowledge and application of power distribution and discrimination
- Variable speed drive
- Motor control centre design
- Power/lighting system distribution (up to 415V)
Duration: 1 year
Rate: £30-£33 an hour
Location: South West (Bristol)
