I have an urgent Contract Composite Technician requirement within a cutting-edge leading Aerospace Engineering Company.
My client is looking for a Contract Composite Technician to perform tasks associated with the manufacture of composite components on their aerospace applications
The suitable candidate will be responsible for the below tasks:
*Hand lay-up of composite components from pre-impregnated carbon and glass fibres
*Preparations of metallic structural panel composites mould tools.
*Surface preparation of composite and metal substrates prior to adhesive bonding.
*Operation of composite processing equipment
Required skills:
*Ability to read engineering drawings and detailed works instructions.
*Experience in the laying-up of complex components using composite carbon prepregs is essential.
*Experience of performing fitting, bonding, liquid shimming and riveting operations on composite structures.
*Training will be provided where applicable
It is important that the ideal candidate has a proven track record of working in a structured development process environment. A clean driving licence will be advantageous
