Position: Cerner Millennium Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Provide system management and system administration on internal CERNER systems as a key member of the Platform Services team.
- Create domains to assist internal teams perform their job responsibilities.
- On call for Oracle Databases, CERNER, and AIX 24x7 on an On-Call Rotation basis.
- Systems Analyst for managing user accounts, database monitoring and maintenance, AIX, and printer/print queue creation and maintenance.
Primary job duties included:
- Oracle database administration, management and analysis
- IBM pSeries (Power5) LPAR creation, configuration and administration
- AIX administration, installation, configuration
- AIX (CERNER) Filesystem management
- AIX/CERNER printer & print queue setup and administration
- CERNER system integration, security and administration
- CERNER performance tuning
- CERNER application code support and integration with areas listed above
- IBM WebSphere MQ Series installation, administration and management
- Internal support services and training to address and resolve technical issues.
