Exciting opportunity for a Solution Centre Team Leader for an initial 6 month term is required to contribute to a large program of work in design, testing and supporting multiple software applications and associated Back End Servers environments.

On a daily basis you will:
  • Manage data reliability and ensure integrity of the various applications.
  • Problem management - conduct root cause analysis.
  • Design simple database queries/reports.
  • Approve change requests/change control.
  • Conduct analysis of incidents to provide solutions or escalate to Solutions Support Manager as appropriate.
  • Document problems, check progresses.
  • Responds to requests for solutions by providing information to enable problem resolution and promptly allocates unresolved problems as appropriate.
  • Under direction of the Solutions Support  Manager review system incidents and issues and identify possible enhancements and changes to affected applications to reduce future errors.
  • Highlight recommendations/enhancements to the Solutions Support Manager.
  • Conduct periodic audits of system users and proactively manage issues with user security and access through agreed processes.
  • Manage all application environments to include for example Development, Testing, and Production.
To succeed in this role you will have:
  • Recognised training qualification for IT eg: Dip IT and MCSE.
  • Has gained experience as a competent administrator of Front End application management and/or Back End server environments.
  • Has a high level of communication skills and takes an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of IT and generic software tools and deeper knowledge and understanding of multiple software applications used within own organisation.
  • Experience and knowledge in the management of SQL & Oracle databases with efficient capability to query and configure databases and associated applications. 
  • A solid understanding of ITIL methodologies used by Aurora for managing and implementing change to our application and server environments.
  • Has gained accreditation in ITIL V3 Foundation.
  • Able to set priorities for customer needs and deal with a number of issues concurrently.
  • Able to demonstrate self management and flexibility in taking on new challenges.
Desirable skills & training include:
  • ITIL Intermediate OS&A.
  • Accredited in ITIL V3 Foundation.
