Description

Content Analyst: Responsible for all item adds, changes, discontinues and inactivation in purchasing system.

Essential Functions:
Maintain content.
Perform in depth analysis of items and vendors to ensure accuracy and availability to Materials Management, ePro users and HealthConnect.
Follow best practice protocols to ensure contract compliance and adherance to national standards.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure item master is kept up to date, part numbers are valid, units of measure are consistent with invoicing UOMs and pricing is reflective of contract price files and effective dates.
Provide recommendations to facilitate issues and problem solve to arrive at solutions that are cost effective and result in optimal content integrity and usability.
Conduct content quality assurance reviews by working master query validation reports.
Utilizes intermediate to advanced Excel skills to perform Vlook-ups, pivot table creation, concactenate functions to review data and determine necessary remediation.
Responsible for timely and accurate loading of national and regional contract price files.
Responsible for timely and accurate response and resolution to item master mailbox requests as well as HC/ITR requests, all within agreed upon SLAs.
Work with Match Exception Team, AP, EDI, GPO and Sourcing to ensure match exception resolution, contract compliance and product conversions are handled and communicated to pertinent stakeholders and leadership.
Utilizes expert knowledge of vendor, product information and data analysis for decision-making relative to item availability, national and regional accessibility and price and issue resolution.
Works on conversion teams and is responsible for decision-making relative to project deliverables and timelines.
Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity using judgment within defined practices and procedures.
Maintains customer focus and positive client relationships.
Follows generally defined directions and guidance.
Exercises some discretion within defined boundaries.
Provides periodic informal work guidance/direction to and training of team members with less experience.
Perform special project work as assigned.
Has no formal supervisory responsibility.

Requirements:
Minimum two (2) + years of item master purchasing experience required.
Experience working with Peoplesoft or other content management application preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Library Management, or a related field Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required.
Type at least 45 wpm by touch.
Perform Internet and vendor website searches.
Participate and initiate stakeholder, business partner and vendor phone calls and meetings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
