ECS is one of the fastest growing privately owned IT services company in the UK, providing IT consultancy, managed services and solutions to a range of blue chip FTSE 100 companies. We have a contract requirement for an iSeries Technical Support Analyst.

Key Skills:
- Accountable for the delivery of the technical/infrastructure streams within large projects or smaller scale technology projects to scope, time, quality and budget
- Pro-actively plans projects, managing the project by the plan, communicating variances to the key stakeholders
- Manages all communication to key stakeholders
- Identifies all project dependencies and risks, ensuring they are effectively managed and identified risks have mitigation/contingency plans in place
- Control project scope and any changes using change management processes
- Matrix manage technical resources pertaining to projects to deliver scop
- Investigates, escalates and ensures that all project issues are effectively resolved
- Prioritises and manages own workload
- Specific project requirements around Standard Build documentation for iSeries (specific knowledge requirements below)

Technology
- The individual should have experience in managing the delivery of technical infrastructure based change
- Desirable to have knowledge an experience of the following platforms: iSeries. Unix, DB2, SQL, Intel
- Requirement 1 - Specific iSeries knowledge - Work Management, Profile Management, i5/OS upgrade experience, iSeries security and audit knowledge, Query, CL
- Requirement 2 - Environment Rebuild knowledge - Follow procedure, BRMS, Backup and Recovery skills.
