Senior Account Manager (SAM) - London - Digital Agency

Senior Account Manager with experience of working with an integrated agency is required to manager a key client account of a leading digital agency based in London.  You will be delivering integrated campaigns, rich media campaigns, as well as direct mail and email campaigns.      

Responsible for managing day-to-day activities:

  • Client Servicing: Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues through excellent interpersonal skills and bring a collaborative attitude to the project team.  Take ownership of day to day activities on campaigns
  • Finance: Follow agency protocol on finance; timely estimate, approvals, POs and invoicing are completed on your projects. Review the project financials and share learning.
  • Communication & Team: Ensure clients and colleagues are kept informed on projects with regular updates and contact, manage expectations on timings and scopes of work with the client prior to the projects starting.  Ensures the client understands key delivery points and change request implications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solid business relationships with clients through regular and pro-active contact.
  • Management of the day-to-day client activities to the high standard expected from clients.
  • Liaise closely with planning to understand strategic goals and the competitive environment.
  • Deliver strategic solutions and innovative concepts to campaign deliverables.
  • Encourage creative teams to develop work in line with required strategic direction.
  • Accountable for high quality project delivery to agreed deadlines.
  • Actively contribute to all meetings attended, with support from the AD, both internally and externally.
  • Attend regular client status meetings and manage status and contact reports.
  • Effective communication, with attention to detail and accuracy in all communications.
  • Provide on-going support and training to junior team members to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Prepare and assist ADs in reviews and recruitment; including management of the induction process.
  • Look to the future with clients and ADs to plan the implementation of the planned campaigns.
  • To be up-to-date on trends and platforms, and equipped with creativity and innovative ideas.

Personal specification

  • Graduate calibre with min 3-4 years agency experience.
  • Good understanding of the agency, planning, creative and production processes.
  • Highly organised and able to manage workload effectively.
  • Ambitious, fun, adaptable, confident and self-motivated.
  • Tact, diplomacy, maturity in relating and interacting with people at all levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
