Location: Greater Manchester
My client are a leading organisation based in Greater Manchester. This position will be working within an established database team.
They are looking for someone with technical skills in the following:
*Oracle Database Server Administration at an expert level (including RAC)
*Oracle High Availability technologies at an expert level
*Expertise in OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and DSS (Decision Support Systems), Data Warehousing, OLAP
*Oracle tools and utilities at an expert level
*Unix operating system
*Database Security
*Database Networking
*Oracle database installation, configuration, planning, migration, upgrading. Administering ASM. PL/SQL at an expert level
*Oracle Database High Availability: RMAN, DataGuard, Oracle RAC 11g, Logical Standby, Archivelog management, Advanced Replication. Veritas Cluster Server is a plus
*Unix OS: Solaris and Linux at advanced level: commands, tools and utilities, strong scripting skills
*ETL skills
*Oracle Enterprise Manager (10g and up), Oracle Grid Control
*Partitioning, Index management, Undo management
*Performance tuning at an expert level
*Golden Gate is a plus
