RAN Engineer – Ireland

RAN Engineer is urgently needed for a contract based position in Ireland

Responsibilities:
• Working in the team of acceptance and implementation of new RAN equipment and features
• Perform testing on RAN solution in accordance with RAN testing requirements
• Support customer relationships in order to obtain and deliver optimum network solutions
• Assist with the formal hand over of fully tested solutions into operational service ensuring operational readiness requirements have been met
• Troubleshoot technical issues during pre-production and operational environments
• Assist with Detailed Design documentation and Data builds for RAN nodes
• Define, develop, and execute test cases to meet customer requirements and demonstrate feature functionality
• Manage the lab tests to evaluate the performance against requirements for HW/SW releases, validate the performance of a release before going in live networks, and reproduce field issues
• Prepares and presents to Management the validation results of RAN network elements
• Develop lab test plans and procedures for RAN
• Evaluates and prepare reporting on Field validation of LTE RAN and monitor performance of nodes during FOA

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience (Master's Degree preferred)
• English Speaking
• Must have Bachelor Degree level or above
• Self-confident and firm stance towards the Customer, Partners, Staff and Subcontractors
• Proven ability to control the performance of Staff / Partners / Subcontractors
• Excellent Knowledge of Radio Access Technology
• UNIX/Linux experience and script development
• Know-how and experience in mobile radio networks (LTE and UMTS preferred)
• Understanding of LTE call processing and signalling
• Experience or interest for lab activities, performances analysis via counters & traces
• Initiative and autonomy in approach to work
• Technically competent in LTE (4G) technologies and solutions
• References from within the local market/industry will be required
