For our client, a huge global consultancy company, we are looking for a Citrix Senior Engineer to work on a 3 month (possibly rolling) paying up to £425 a day contract based just off Holborn.Main responsibilities:
* provide problem resolution for referred incidents from the Service Desk
* ensure SLA targets are met at all times and collaboratively ensure team targets are met
* ensure all changes to Production systems are planned and approved in accordance with the Change Management process
* work with the Team to ensure all platform documentation is kept up to date at all times
* provide substantial input into the development of Windows and Citrix processes, highlighting issues and providing recommendations for improvement
* proactively monitor the IT support provided, looking for potential issues and highlighting them as appropriate
* work with the Service Management team to identify and resolve problems in the infrastructure to reduce the occurrence of incidents/faults
* assist in key IT and business projects; ensure that all projects are planned and implemented in line with standards and policies
* provide on-call support as part of the on-call rotation
The key skills required are:
* experience in 3 /4 line support role
* strong experience in supporting Microsoft Windows Server R2
* advanced Citrix XenApp knowledge
* advanced Citrix XenDesktop knowledge
* advanced knowledge of Appsense
* good understanding of Citrix Netscaler
* good understanding of VMware technologies
* strong experience in Exchange 2010
* CCA or CCAA for Citrix XenApp and/or XenDesktop are desirable
* Microsoft Clustering knowledge
* VMware support and administration knowledge will be an asset
* Windows PowerShell scripting experience is desired
* ITIL v3 Foundation Certification will be an asset
* large companies background
