Process Chemist

Contract length: 6 months
The role:
A Synthetic or Process Chemist is required to join Medicines Evaluation - Chemistry, part of Pharmaceutical Development, based at Macclesfield. The successful applicant will contribute to early Pharmaceutical Development activities within an individual team supporting project and portfolio progression. Speed, quality and cost are key drivers required when developing processes to deliver material for toxicology trials and Phase I clinical evaluation.
The candidate:
- A PhD/experienced graduate or equivalent, with previous experience of process development
- Have sufficient understanding in the discipline of process chemistry.
- Have a good understanding of principles and application of SHE.
- Have a good understanding of developments within the industry and how they impact the function.
- Capability to use appropriate analytical techniques to support development chemistry activities.
- Evidence of good communication skills.
- Good team working and networking skills.
- Able to demonstrate the drive and energy to deliver projects.
- Ability to design and develop high quality, scalable processes
- Work collaboratively.
