Consultant Message Broker Developer required for a large multinational organisation based in Cork
Reporting into the Middleware Manager the successful candidate will join an existing team with responsibility for providing deployment and support of IBM WebSphere MQ Series and IBM WebSphere Message Broker. The successful candidate will need to have strong hands on experience working in complex MQ environments
The Job:
* Development of enhancements and fixes to applications in production
* Support to Development and Architectural teams in relation to these applications
* Support to business teams as required
* Participate in global and local technical initiatives
* Act as a member of the Design Authority team for certifying all architectures being used in production systems
* Produce analysis and design reviews to development project teams
* Provide Architectural direction in consultation with Applications Team
Have You:
* At least 5 years experience working in a large enterprise environment
* Demonstrable experience of the following:
o WebSphere MQ Series
o WebSphere Message Broker
o WebSphere Application Server
* Solid experience of working with WMQ, WBI and WAS in a hardware clustered environment
* Multi-platform experience essential (Unix/Wintel)
* Unix Scripting
* PL/SQL
* Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Initial six month contract on offer with opportunity to extend thereafter.
