Responsibilities and DutiesThe Completion Engineer provides technical support as requested / required on a temporary basis for completion planning in assets that have increased activity. Completion Engineer may fill in as vacation relief for asset completion engineer.
Completion Engineer provides QA/QC support to assets (i.e. peer reviews, peer assists, etc.).
Completion Engineer supports the coordination of non-operated partner interaction during the planning and execution phases of completion operations. This includes reviewing completion designs and cost estimates, offering improvement suggestions, and sharing learnings with UON D&W.
Completion Engineer provides support to new ventures or business development opportunities in UON.
Completion Engineer liaises with completion technical personnel regarding development and management of completion technical processes and standards for D&W UON.
Completion Engineer attends and actively participates in non-operated technical meetings, as appropriate.
Completion Engineer participates in risk assessments, as appropriate.
Completion Engineer provides technical review for problem resolution for both operated and non-operated activities.
Completion Engineer provides input to technology plan development based on broad understanding of cross-asset needs and knowledge of industry capabilities.
Completion Engineer develops, coordinates, and/or supervises pilot projects for introduction of newly identified or developed technologies.
Completion Engineer provides support to Finance & Control, Planning, etc. regarding market activities relative to completions.
Completion Engineer provides support to benchmarking activities.
Completion Engineer coordinates and maintains the common IT completion systems for the assets.
Completion Engineer actively attends and participates in completion-related networks in UON/TPD.
Completion Engineer supports recruiting of completion personnel by participating in interviews.
Completion Engineer assists, as requested, asset completion engineers with technical specifications for completion-related tenders and contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in completions
- Good communication skills
- Good writing skills
- Good contractor management skills
- Strong risk management knowledge
- Good team player
- Self-starter
