AVP Level Java Developer - in Compliance sector in Top Investment BankAn experienced Core Java Developer (J2SE) is required to work in a top-tier Investment Bank.
You will be working on some large projects within a key team in Compliance gaining exposure to cutting edge technology and working with the best technologists in the business
It's a fantastic position for someone with around 8-10 years hands of Java Developing experience, that wishes to drive strategic architectural projects across the Payments Sanctions business. You will be working on some interesting technologies: Java J2SE, threading, Spring/Hibernate, Oracle Coherence, Oracle Database, a flex front-end, and middleware tech. The team sits in a critical part of payments and so you will enjoy seeing the impact of your hard work on the rest of the business. The business offer fantastic opportunities to progress, and you will have the opportunity to further your career to VP level within 2-3 years if you wish to pursue this career path.
To be considered for the position you should have:
- Excellent Core Java skills (J2SE)
- Experience working on a caching system - preferably Coherance
- Good knowledge of Spring/ Hibernate
- Extensive RDBMS skills - preferable Oracle
- Some experience working with Flex
- Unix/Linux skills
Experience working in the financial sector, especially in payments, will offer your application with a definite advantage.
You must also be a strong communicator as you will be working with a highly collaborative team.
