Computer Futures are looking for a Network Support Analyst for a key client based inSouthampton. To be responsible for the administration, configuration and monitoring of the wired and wireless network infrastructure, to assist in the development of the network infrastructure and liaise with Faculties/Services and external suppliers in providing appropriate network solutions for a range of projects.

We are looking for someone with the following:

TCP/IP and other network protocols, Ethernet, VLANs, Wireless networking, IP routing plus a general knowledge of ICT and its associated hardware.

Some knowledge of network monitoring, policy management, Windows, Linux and VoIP solutions.

Administration of a medium to large-sized enterprise data network.

Experience of wired and wireless computer networking installation, maintenance and configuration.

Experience of successfully managing small technical projects.

Experience of customer service in second/third-line technical support.

To work with the team leader to develop good practice within the team, to continuously improve the quality of the network provision and the standard of service provided to end-users.

Work with technical colleagues within ICT in order to diagnose and resolve technical issues where appropriate.

To participate in business continuity activities including recovery planning and testing.

Liaise with external suppliers in order to plan and carry out changes to the network infrastructure or provide new network-based services associated with projects or requests for change.

To work with the Estates and Facilities Service for the provision and maintenance of ancillary services (e.g. power, air-conditioning, and fire suppression) to the data centres and to be responsible for the documentation of such services.

To work with the Estates and Facilities Service for the provision and integration of building management and monitoring systems.

Work with the ICT administrators to manage external networking contracts and maintenance agreements.

The salary is paying £30,500 on a fixed term contact and includes pension , free interest loans , bike scheme , flex time , 22 days holiday , discounted gym membership.
