A leading name in global system integration require a Greenplum DBA for a 6-12 month contract in Nigeria, Lagos. The resident Greenplum DBA might be expected to assist with tasks that may include: Developing, running standard procedures to backup and restore Greenplum database objects Developing, executing standard procedures to manage partitioned data Developing and executing standard procedures to manage log files generated by the system Developing and executing standard procedures for monitoring database workload Support on Greenplum Pl-PGSQL Development for the existing DBA Team Query tuning Upgrading the database software as required System expansion Database recovery Mentoring the existing DBA Team on Greenplum Technologies Interfacing with Greenplum support as required; Interfacing required third party products to the Greenplum system Support on all Technical Questions regarding Greenplum technologies
Profile Requirements
4 - 5 year college degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent. 5-7 years of experience working in an Oracle, Informatica, UNIX production data warehousing environment as a Data Warehouse developer. 5-7 years of experience with Oracle databases (10g or higher preferred) and expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming and performance tuning on UNIX Working on MPP database as IBM Netezza, Oracle Exadata or Greenplum a plus Leadership Capabilities Required Contarct Rate + Housing Allowance + Flights (Tax Free)
