SC Finance Analyst

Financial management responsibility for the Major Change (new business) work stream - creation, maintenance & communication of the financial plan, and it's implementation. Ensuring accuracy of revenues recognised, to be recognised and costs incurred and to be incurred, availability of purchase orders, change approval notes, acceptance notes and invoicing records. Proactive in identifying opportunities and risks to the financial plan.

* Creation and maintenance of the financial plan for the Major Change work stream - reflecting both actual performance to date and fore casted future performance. Identification of opportunities and threats to the plan. Review of the plan within the Major Change team and presentation to the Account Management team.
* Planning revenue for completed project items in line with policy.
* Analysis of daily/weekly financial reports of actual revenue and cost, identification of variances and initiation of corrective actions.
* Preparation and maintenance of detailed monthly/quarterly revenue plans and weekly review with Major Change team.
* Attendance at weekly Contract Change Review Board and review of new business proposals (Impact Assessments) prior to submission to customer.
* Planning monthly invoicing - validating availability of appropriate purchase orders, change approval notes and acceptance certificates prior to invoicing.
* Creation and maintenance of schedule of additional revenue opportunities for Service Delivery work stream, liaison between work stream and invoicing team.
*Creation and maintenance of schedule of ongoing support liabilities - advising account on revenue and customer on ongoing charges
*Advising Account Finance Manager on revenue/cost accruals/deferrals
*Creation of various Management Information both proactively and as requested.
*Sustain and support tool sets used by PSO/Finance for weekly reporting (Change Log, Dashboard Creator, Compass Report).

Skills required

*Proven financial management experience working within a programme delivery environment.
*Ability to establish and communicate a financial plan and to manage against the plan
*Strong numerical skill and attention to detail - ability to analyse and to interpret data, and to communicate the key messages.
*Good presentational skills - ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in written form.
*Ability to work well without detailed supervision, and to determine appropriate priorities
*Competent use of MS Office products (in particular Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
