Oracle Architect required to undertake high level architectural validation for my customer in Dublin.
You must have good WebLogic 11g (WLS) and Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) experience.
Work will involve a 5 days review on site and then a further 3 days to write up a report remotely.
Description of the work: -
Customer basically looking for a paper based Sanity Check of their proposed architecture, with their primary areas of concern being:
- Security
- Performance
- Alignment with Oracle's best practices
- Co-locating production and supply databases in the same RAC.
Some components in their architecture, such as OWSM and SQL FIREWALL, are completely new to their organization and it is likely that both the requirements and the solution, in those areas, will need to be explored in some detail with them as a prerequisite to validating their high level architecture design. They have nothing in place for DR (disaster recovery) but said they would value your insights/input in that area too.
You will work alongside a separate Oracle 11gR2 Database Architect.
The primary deliverable they are looking for is a report that can be used for formal signoff purposes within their business. It will be easier to achieve that single unified report if the mid tier and database resources are onsite at the same time so they can work together on this - so ideally looking to start on Mon 3rd June (but some flexibility).
