Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)Applications Support - NATO - SC clearance/upto 600 Euros per day!....Brussels
Oracle DBA's urgently required by NATO for long term contracts paying excellent rates but must have current NATO Security Clearance.
Reporting to the Systems Manager you will have 5 years experience of Oracle database administration and have installed, upgraded and worked on Oracle DB software and applications in a multi- tier environment. You will have knowledge of and used web server Apache in a Unix cluster environment. Managed RDBMS and in particular must be conversant with 10g product versions in Solaris/Sun cluster Production environment. Sound Knowledge of the database architecture with particular reference to Schemas/products, objects, files, functions and triggers, VERITAS backup recovery manager and storage.
You will be able to proactively monitor the database system to ensure security services ensuring that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance. You will also provide trend analysis, helpdesk support to NATO CTS, continuous monitoring of entire CTS and collecting relevant statistics on its operation, be responsible for upgrades,maintenance and roll outs, be responsible for RFID escalation, be responsible for testing.
You must be fluent in the English Language, have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
This is a six month rolling contract with a three year duration based in Brussels but you will be required to work in other NATO regions for short periods. The role pays Euros per day depending on experience and seniority.
