Compliance, Audit and Monitoring Manager
A leading Corporate Bank are looking for a Legal and Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and conduct substantive and control-based audit reviews, including designing bespoke testing plans.
The Compliance, Audit and Monitoring Manager will be tasked with the following:
- Undertake planned and ad hoc assurance reviews of activities within the bank, including periodic reviews of products & services, policies & procedures, activities of business units & Conduct Risk teams, to ensure compliance with Group standards
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the current risk and control environment, through desktop reviews, interviews and process walkthroughs, and identifying those areas of risk that need addressing
- Identify, quantify and assess the impact of review findings in line with the severity of the underlying risks, and provide remedial and preventative actions to keep the risk within the Businesses' risk appetite
The Compliance, Audit and Monitoring Manager MUST therefore have:
- A sound and up to date knowledge of internal policies, regulators, codes and regulations that apply to the Corporate Banks
- Solid experience working within a Corporate or Retail Bank in a Regulatory capacity is therefore essential
- Solid monitoring experience gained from either internal or external audit and/or monitoring undertaken in a Compliance function
- Good understanding of risk and control frameworks
