JOB SUMMARY
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with Exadata for a 6M Contract opportunity (with the possibility of extensions and/or conversion to Direct-Hire) located in Irving, TX. The Senior Oracle DBA will provide knowledge of complex databases which may include access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods. Senior Oracle DBA will maintain and manage Oracle 10g RAC, 11g RAC, and Exadata databases. Senior Oracle DBA will perform database management tasks including database infrastructure design as requested, automation of data loads, performance tuning, space management, backup/recovery, and version control. Senior Oracle DBA will perform, review, and debug SQL and PL/SQL programming, and SQL and PL/SQL tuning with development teams. Senior Oracle DBA will provide creative thought leadership in database and associated technologies to drive new efficiencies and overcome existing limitations. Senior Oracle DBA will provide database performance and tuning. Senior Oracle DBA will provide knowledge of database design and modelling. Senior Oracle DBA will provide support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications. Senior Oracle DBA will manage and perform all necessary data changes, DDL changes, data refreshes of environments and support code migrations. Senior Oracle DBA will support users, tune and troubleshoot data access applications and ad hoc queries. Senior Oracle DBA will troubleshoot database problems and provide corrective action within an appropriate period of time. Senior Oracle DBA will write ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting and development requirements. Senior Oracle DBA will conduct daily error checks and database health, monitoring of physical resources (disk space, memory, CPU, etc.) and implement performance tuning parameters where appropriate.

4+ years of experience with the following skill sets
- Oracle 9i/10g/11gR2 DBA - Application Frameworks/Architecture/Installation/Support/Maintenance/Configurations, etc.
o EE - Oracle Database Enterprise Edition
o ASM - Oracle Automatic Storage Management
o Oracle Cache Fusion
o Oracle Cluster Services
o Oracle Client - JDBC/OCCI
o Oracle DataGuard/Disaster Recovery
o RMAN
o SCAN - Single Client Access Name
o Oracle RAC
o Oracle Databases within a UNIX/Linux (Solaris/RedHat/AIX) Environment
o OEM - Oracle Enterprise Management Utility (GRID Control) for Replication - Administration/Diagnostic/Tuning Capabilities, etc. - Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL Scripting - Database Development
- SDLC - Application/Software Development Lifecycle - Migrations to Production/SQL Optimizations/Post-Implementation Support, etc.
- Performance Tuning/Optimizations within a COMPLEX Environment - Triage/Analyze/Solutions Architecture, etc.
