Web Site Product Delivery Manager.

We are seeking a Web Site Product Manager for a 6 month contract. In this role you would manage the launch of new B2C insurance products  as well as manage modifications to current web product sites. The selected candidate will have experience with retail or B2C web sites, creating Wireframes and liaising with designers and developers for the ongoing development and medications of web sites displaying product, managing and driving User Experience, experience managing and increasing conversions (please see all inclusive list of desired skills below)

Our Client is a very large global insurance organization that is based in the UK and has been doing business in the US for many years. They have started a new Division for a new line of products .A very fun, challenging and extremely fast paced environment.

We are looking for an innovative, forward thinking, results focused individual for new commercial products being launched (as well as modifications to current product sites) into the US market, for all desktop web site products within a new growing division of a global fortune 500 insurance organization that is growing rapidly. Products have already been delivered successfully in European market over the past 5 years and are expanding to other countries. A very fun, challenging and extremely fast paced environment with fun Products.

Your ultimate goal is to provide operational support to boost delivery (this is not a strategist role). You will need to come in and provide web content management, hit the ground running, being responsible for driving the projects, as in coordinating it all and making sure delivery dates are met and on schedule. Coordinate with designers, coordinate development and have an aptitude for User Experience (UX); a customer experience champion for multiple projects with multiple E-commerce products, in an extremely fast pace Agile environment.

There are different products and different Web pages on their site; each one entirely different. Each one requires different sales styles and messages. It's a challenging role and different every day. You don't do the same things every day; it changes daily.

Work hours. Starting hours are flexible between 7.30am and 9.00am as long as you pick a time and stick to it. No telecommute.

Working in an extremely fast paced environment, you will be THE go-to person and perform exciting analysis and tasks including:

DAILY TASKS

  • Primary Goal is to for operational support to boost delivery, this is a delivery focused role for commercial products (this is not a strategist role)
  • Experience leading and encouraging teams in a collaborative environment on how to work together to achieve goals.
  • Lead and help the team understand the web development needs for their sites to include new products being launched, product updates, and any bugs that occur on the site to achieve goals
  • Project Management: Manage several projects at one time against deliverables and vendors. Lead meetings related to project development and delivery
  • Quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of how their products work. Liaise with Front End and Back End developers
  • Development of technical specifications to be used by delivery teams such as developers, web content specialists etc. for new product site development and launches as well as current product web sites.
  • Develop Wireframes to hand off to designers (you will not physically perform design or development, they partner with specialist agencies for all design and development)
  • Communicate technical specifications to offshore resources for the development of web sites with a very deliberate structured (laid out for easy comprehension).
  • Manage and drive the User Experience. Determine the best flow through to enable an online purchase taking in consideration things like, where to put fields on web pages, number of steps to be taken to drive a purchase; call to action button, best clicks and how much white space is needed to avoid clutter etc.
  • Utilize your expertise in usability and design to enhance the process and move them through further to get more conversions.
  • Analyze sales funnel conversion rates daily and weekly. Analysis/problem solving as to why consumers leave during certain steps on the web site. Review large amounts of data such as bounce rates, why are consumers leaving the page in the funnel; during what steps do they leave. Taking those hypotheses and testing on the site.

REQUIRED

  • Experience leading and encouraging teams in a collaborative environment on how to work together to achieve goals.
  • Must have experience managing and driving multiple large projects at one time against deliverables for new web site development and product launches with multiple pages and has the ability to drive ideas across the team. A goal oriented individual that strives for ongoing improvements to product sites, usability and design for increased conversions while delivering on time and within budget for very aggressive tight deadlines.
  • 3 years min experience managing web project delivery on a customer facing transactional site, preferably retail, if not at least, B2C.
  • At minimum, 4 years experience specifically reviewing and increasing conversions
  • Demonstrable track record of being delivery focused; be able to talk around how you impacted organizations personally on conversion rate, with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Must have experience developing technical specifications for new web site development as well as web site modifications, to be used by Developers and content specialists, specifically for B2C, transactional sites (sites used to retail products).
  • Experience developing Wireframes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HTML Web Development is required. Preference will be given to those that have hands on coding ability with HTML which will leverage their ability to manage deliverables and vendor deliverables
  • Hands on experience with Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus
  • Proven experience in the ability to manage and drive the User Experience (UX) for on line purchases: Call to action, clicks taken to make a purchase, placing a certain amount of information in very finite spacing (sample web sites will be required). Prior experience with E-commerce sites is a huge preference but not required. Will consider UX experience for informational sites IF you have some form of online retail experience.
  • Special ability to communicate technical specifications in an extremely detailed oriented manner both verbally and in writing
  • Prior experience analysing sales funnel conversion rates Analysis/problem solving as to why consumers leave during certain steps on the web site.
  • Understand the Back End as to how it relates to the Front End web site development
  • An Innovative, forward thinking individual that is focused on learning and self education. Ability to apply best practices and strive for ongoing improvements to web site design, usability and conversion rates.
  • Experience with Excel for project tracking
  • Ability work in an extremely fast paced agile environment with 2 week development releases.
  • Must be self-reliant and sufficient.
  • MS Excel and MS Word

PLUS SKILLS

  • Experience in the Insurance industry is a plus
  • Experience of having worked in a startup/high pace environment, as part of a small team
