A fantastic contract opportunity has arisen at a games company whom create web and mobile games for some of the biggest brands.They are looking for a passionate game designer to work on a casual MMO. The game will run on browsers and tablet devices. Experience designing casual games, mobile games, or social games is preferred.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Ensure that the game vision is followed throughout the development process by all involved
- Author the Game Design Document
- Supervise the complete design process for new features and mechanics
- Fine-tune the game vision if necessary
- Proactively find problems with the gameplay and come up with solutions
- Define the overall creative vision and specific feature requirements to the team
- An excellent understanding of what makes a fun game
- A strong knowledge of game balancing, pacing mechanics and system design
- Provide expert knowledge and implementation on casual / mobile mechanics
- Experience across web and mobile
- Casual game experience preferred
- Coding not needed but an understanding of the medium is
Location: Leeds
Rate: £250 - £330 per day dependant upon experience
Length: 3-6 months
