Contracts and Procurement Officer (CIPS), Oxford, 3 months, 38K:

Our public sector client is looking to recruit a Contracts and Procurement Officer for a three month temporary contract.

With a varied and exciting job role the Contracts and Procurement Officer will provide advice and guidance on procurement and contract matters. Manage a range of EU tenders from advert through to award to deliver long-term efficiencies and benefits to the organisation. Deliver procurement activities through a category management approach that delivers the most effective solution. Assist in the development of innovative solutions to reinforce the objective of reducing the cost base. Draft tender specifications, tender evaluation criteria, write reports on approaches and tender outcomes

The Contracts and Procurement Officer will need to be qualified with full CIPS qualification or equivalent. You will be experienced in managing EU Procurement tendering activities coupled with the experience in setting up and managing framework contracts or contracts with a value of up to £1 million (single supplier). Any Procurement project management experience would be highly desirable. The Contracts and Procurement Officer applying to this role will need to have delivered significant procurement savings. Possess experience of drafting tender specifications, E-tendering solutions.
