Our client who is a European market leader in the renewable energy industry designing, constructing and maintaining offshore wind farms are urgently looking for an experienced WTG Installation Manager.This role would require an individual to start ASAP to work from the project head quarters onshore with an aim to transition to Hamburg for the offshore stages.
You will take up your position and will remain in the head office on the construction site in Hamburg untill the end of the Year from January onwards you will transition to the Bremerhafen area and the 6 month offshore cycle will start in April 2014.

Responsibilities
1.Ensure that the project is on time and that quality and economy are within the scope
2.Comply with clients guidelines and standards in force, MAKS requirements, as well as local requirements
3.Participate in project team meetings and cross discipline cooperation
4.Ensure that the technical departments` best practices are implemented

Manage WTG installation
Tasks:
- Analyse and recommend offshore installation and logistics concepts Optimise offshore installation and logistics concepts
- Charter installation vessels incl support vessels and barges
- Prepare ITT documents and Employer`s Requirements - Technical Requirements
- Negotiate and recommend offshore installation contracts incl Marine Warranty Surveyor
- Manage and coordinate offshore installation contracts and activities
- Manage client`s reps within individual areas Ensure contractor`s delivery and own
- Review of Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Carry out HAZID/HAZOP for installation design and offshore installation operations
- Analyse and optimise installation procedures prior to and during installation
- Manage the Marine Warranty Surveyor
- Coordinate and attend inspections of vessels provided to the projects Proactively
- Ensure that offshore installation works are carried out based on balanced contracts and that they are optimised regarding time, costs and QHSE
- Establish and manage sub-project organisation/groups, incl division/delegation of responsibility for installation
- Inform the WTG manager of all significant technical issues, in particular risks, and develop contingency plans

- Can recommend methods, quality level and split of contracts within the defined scope
- Can negotiate Employer`s Requirements and contracts, including variation orders, within the defined scope
- Can recommend contract award to offshore platforms manager
- Can agree interface management actions with related supplies
- Can negotiate and decide variations within the agreed scope
- Several years of experience, knowledge and competence within the technical area or backup from experienced senior
