C# / VB.NET Contract Dublin 2

A company that Develops Risk & Compliance products for the Financial services industry is looking to hire an ASP.NET / C# /VB.NET Developer

The contract will initially be for 6 months with a strong chance for extension

You will be working with a great Project Manager & CTO with a team of experienced Developers in the heart ofDublin

Experience/Skills

-8+ Years of software development experience in progressive roles with strong Technical focus

-5+ Years of strong web application design and development skills using ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#

-5+ Years of design and development with XML Web Services

-5+ Years of Database Design and development experience using SQL Server

-5+ Years of implementing web applications using IIS 6.0 or above Web Server

-Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills and experience creating class-diagrams, sequence diagrams and detailed technical design documents

-3+ Years of leading a development project on a client facing web application development

-Experience designing multi-tiered, secure, scalable and highly available web applications

-Strong focus on Data Security

-Experience with developing SSIS packages (SQL Server) and ETL processes

-Experience with Crystal Reports and/or similar reporting tools necessary

-Experience with .NET Framework 4 preferred

-Experience with Javascript/CSS

-Experience working with remote teams preferred

-Excellent communication skills. Fluency in English essential

-BS in Computer Science and/or related work experience required

Responsibilities

-The Sr. Developer will work with the product team to understand the business requirements/functional design and translate to Technical Design

-Create necessary design documents and keep them current

-Participate in Database Design activities as required

-Implement core design components

-Participate in proof of concept, coding, code review and support activities as required

-Mentorjunior team members assigned to a given project

-Prioritize coding tasks and assign to developers

-Ensure coding standards are followed

-Ensure version control

-Providing estimates and refine it at inception, design and implementation phases of a project

-Notify Tech Manager/Project Manager of any anticipated schedule slippage

-Ensure quality objectives are met as per project requirements

-Solving ad-hoc problems faced by team members

-Make sure development milestones are met as per project plan

-Escalating issues that may impact delivery, quality, and team morale to the Tech Manager

-Provide support to Professional Services and Technical support teams as necessary
