Market leading medical device company require a new design engineer for new product developmentResponsibilities
-Producing effective new product designs from specifications set by the Product Design Requirements within the quality management system
-Produce all necessary detailed engineering drawings to relevant applicable standards
-Act as R&D lead on nominated projects and be responsible for all design and development related activities
-Liaise with and visit necessary external suppliers to ensure sub-contracted work meets specification
-Ensure new processes are fully understood
-Liaise with and visit customers and potential customers to further understand their requirements
Key Skills & Experience
-Highly computer literate Excel, Word & PowerPoint
-Experience in using SolidWorks CAD & autoCAD
-Experience in using quality management systems
-Able to deal with people at all levels in a confident manner
-Experience in the medical device or similar regulated industry
-Experience designing mechanisms involving plastic injection moulding
-ISO 13485
Qualifications
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design
- ISO 13485 (Ideal) & ISO 9001
-Effective team player
-Able to work effectively on your own
