£40-£45000 with benefits, this is an exciting opportunity to work with a large but growing company.About out client: Providing switching and protection solutions for electrical distribution systems. Our technology is at the cutting edge of Medium Voltage switchgear design and innovation, specialising in both ground and pole mounted switchgear.
The company supplies Medium Voltage Oil and SF6 insulated Vacuum Ring Main Units (RMU), pole mounted air break and SF6 enclosed load break switches, substation disconnectors and power connectors, automation and retrofit solutions, Low Voltage feeder pillars and cut-outs.
Job Purpose: The creation and implementation of SCADA automation systems. The role is based in Havant and may require overseas visits for installation, commissioning and training as required for the implementation of Automation systems.
Key Accountabilities:
1. SCADA systems design and testing.
2. Communications systems design and testing.
3. Project management within the Automation department.
4. Diagnosis of protocol problems.
5. RTU systems testing.
6. Documentation - including specifications and user manuals
7. SCADA Systems training.
Experience Knowledge & Skills:
?Broad knowledge of SCADA systems
?Experience with Communications devices such as modems, Radios, GSM, GPRS, PSTN, Routers, Firewalls, Ethernet.
?Experience of RTU's, IED's and PLC's
?Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications, including Access and Excel.
?Various SCADA platforms especially for the Electricity distribution industry.
?Experience of communications protocols such as DNP3, IEC, IEC61850, TCP/IP, MODBUS
?Knowledge of MV distribution systems and switchgear
?Knowledge of embedded systems and software
?Familiarity with electronics systems
?Appreciation of MV site safety and earthing Requirements
?A degree in a relevant subject (Electronic/Science/Engineering or equivalent)
