Infrastructure Specialist Linux/Unix - Amsterdam
Our client based in Amsterdam is looking for a highly trained and certified Linux system admin responsible for the health and complex problems on the Linux estate. This person will also be partly responsible for the design and creation of new systems. Experience with HA clustered environments with XEN hypervisor on RHEL 3 4 and 5 is required as well as experience with Satelite server. Preferably a certified lead systems engineer that will be able to set roadmap and technical directions, knowledge of ITIL Processes and provide senior support BAU & RFS resource on Unix related operating systems.
This person will continue to automate, standardize procedures and document while providing 3th line support, plan rollout, perform size costing.
Requirements:
4/5 Years UNIX/Linux experience, project activities, problem solving, troubleshooting, performance analyses;
VOG & PES screening;
Senior knowledge of all Linux flavours, Linux Redhat 4.x & 5.x, Linux Suse 9 & 10. Linux Ubuntu;
Virtualization, Clustering, Tivoli tooling, P&C, TSM, deployment of Satelite server, building images, high level deployment of detailed designs, Apar process, User id management, TAD4D, Cyberark, ITM, TSCM;
Server deployment/install, configure & build images, Senior in Scripting Shell/Perl, Backup policies;
Performance management and analyses, Linux implementations;
Hardware Knowledge pSeries, SAN, Power 5, 6 & 7, Mseries, SUNfire systems, HP Blades;
Knowledge of Pure system environments;
Indepth knowledge of ResWisdom & development of automation modules;
Maximo & Prisma knowledge;
Extras:
Able and prepared to travel.
Perform 7*24 hours support via on-call.
Perform Standby duties.
