Functional Manager Windows applications - senior - Groningen (Netherlands)
You will join a team within a large application portfolio that will manage both KA applications and custom applications. Your responsibility is to manage as efficiently as possible the KA applications.
As desktop manager, you will have decent depth experience with Windows desktop and laptop computers, based on Thin Client and remote access, and the associated management activities. You are able to perform tasks such as analysing incidents, repair, testing them, and keep up to date all desktops and laptops. You are also able to resource infrastructure and tools needed to test and manage.
Job requirements
- A bachelor/university degree in IT
- Extensive and proven experience with functional management of Windows-based desktop technology in a number of standard configurations
- Extensive experience with a wide variety of applications KA occurring within large companies - such as text applications, local databases, etc.
- Experience in analysing incidents,
- Experience with the execution of repairs by package vendors
- Experience with testing patches
- Experience with Scripting to distribute applications
- Experience with managing test environments
- Experience working with large (international) companies and associated complexity in control
- Practical knowledge and experience with the impact of technology on business processes and organization
- Pragmatic attitude towards problem solving
- Good analytical skills with little information to develop much understanding
- Good command of Dutch and English (written and spoken)
- Pro-active attitude
