Responsibilities
  • Participates in all of the steps associated with operation and maintenance of a custom-made electropolishing tool and associated support equipment. This includes but is not limited to: electropolishing, ultrasonic degreasing, high-pressure rinsing, clean room assembly, and vacuum leak testing.
  • Handles chemicals required to perform electropolishing.
  • Operates and maintains tools specifically designed for chemical processing.
  • Operates and maintains chemical scrubber and neutralization system.
  • Prepares and assembles components in class 10/100 clean room.
  • Performs ultrasonic degreasing and high pressure rinsing.
  • Records process data.
SKILLS

Desired Skills: General awareness of aspects of chemical processing that allow for fast corrective actions to be taken when necessary; ability and willingness to assume responsibility for the operations of a chemical facility; detail oriented with ability to follow written procedures exactly; good mechanical skills with ability to work on delicate equipment; good communication skills; experience with acid handling or handling of hazardous materials; general electrical capability to allow troubleshooting; clean room assembly experience; ability to lift 50 pounds; basic computer skills including familiarity with MS Office and CAD; ability to work well on a team. Associates or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field desired but not required.
