Windows 8 Subcontracting Manager
Position Summary
Our client is seeking to hire a Project Manager with experience in running and managing a third-party off-shore subcontracting team.
PLEASE NOTE: WINDOWS 8 EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL
The candidate is to join a team that develops software for a music application running on various platforms. Specifically, the sub-team that the candidate is to lead develops, maintains, improves and extends a partially web-based application running on Windows 8 (Modern UI). Part of this software is developed in-house, while another part is subcontracted to an off-shore partner. As a subcontracting manager, you are responsible for managing the subcontractor's work: Define the scope, schedule and quality of work to be delivered; Negotiate and manage the contents and quality of intermediate deliveries; Define, monitor and suggest improvements to processes put in place to achieve the above; Track and review design, implementation, and testing activities. Review the subcontractor deliverables. Track and report progress, and take appropriate corrective measures (management, technical); Report to the overall Music Project Manager.
Profile
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience, be fluent in English, and are expected to demonstrate strong project management and subcontracting management skills. Additionally, they are expected to have a technical background sufficient to support their management activities: Project Management; Subcontracting management; Agile development, SCRUM; Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written). Windows 8!
The following skills are also desirable:
Experience with web services and web technologies; Experience in development of multimedia software; Experience in security, DRM, and/or cryptography.
