Middleware Senior Software Engineers
Position Summary
Our client is seeking to hire experienced and talented senior software engineers to join a team that develops client-side Middleware for a music application running on various platforms. Specifically, we now have open positions in the sub-teams that develop, maintain, improve and extend web-based software running on PS3 and Windows 8 and Android. The scope of the project covers the management and caching of audio content and metadata, the playback and protection of the content, and the interfaces to the online server and Javascript UI.
As a member of the software team, you are responsible for:
Analysing user requirements, functional and others (performance, usability);
Planning, estimating and tracking effort and progress;
Designing, coding, refactoring software components;
Specifying, implementing, automated test cases;
Reporting and fixing issues in the software;
Participating in reviews (design, code, tests).
Profile
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience, be fluent in English, and are expected to demonstrate outstanding software development skills, in particular in the following areas:
Programming language: a combination of Javascript and either Java, C++ or C# would be ideal;
General development: multi-threading, databases, networking;
Design and analytical skills: data modelling; UML; performance analysis;
Ability to work well, both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
The following skills are also desirable additional plusses:
Experience in development for PlayStation 3, Windows 8 (Modern UI), or Android;
Experience with web services and web technologies;
Experience in development of multimedia software;
Experience in secure coding;
Experience in DRM and/or cryptography;
Testing skills;
Good writing skills - English.
