For a leading banking client in Brussels, we are looking for a Front Office Business Support - Risk and Pnl consultant for a 6 month contract.
Function Description
The FOBS Risk and PnL is an expert who possesses the ability to resolve Front Office complex customer and application issues using highly analytical skills. The FOBS Risk and PnL will use a variety of internal and external contacts to ensure customer satisfaction and business success.
His domain includes all the applications used by the Front Office officers, but he is specialist in Risk and PnL computing.
Major responsibilities of this position:
Resolve all functional issues related to the used applications, utilizing excellent customer service skills, problem solving skills, and technical thinking/reasoning skills following established support process and metrics guidelines.
Propose and develop IT light solutions (excel, small applications, macros, automatic report, ) to improve the efficiency of the Business As Usual work of our customers.
Measure and analyze incoming software issues to determine root causes and develop technical and training solutions to minimize reoccurrences and severity and report results to manager.
Accurately document all customer issues, resolution steps, and gather feedback in support tracking software to enhance identifying and reporting trends leading to recurring technical problems.
Ability to handle several priorities and manage knowledge of multiple applications and their features
Gather and forward customer feedback and suggestions for application improvement.
Business experience required
Mandatory: 2-5 years of professional experience, of which at least 1 year in an IT environment
Experience in Financial Markets/Dealing Rooms, Front or Middle Office
Good Knowledge of Fixed Income products.
Bonus Skills: ITIL expertise is an asset.
Experience in Front Office Risk and PnL computing is another asset.
Technical experience required:
Mandatory:
High level of knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel
Good level of knowledge of SQL
Development capability for small projects in the context of user automation (VBA, Java, C#, )
