Role - Senior Business Analyst - Wealth & International - Financial Reporting - Edinburgh - £505/day

Purpose of the Programme

Our client, a leading UK retail bank require the services of a Business Analyst to work on a  project which is assessing the impact of the Alternative investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD) on the SWIP business model, and will determine the actions that will be needed in order to ensure that the SWIP business can comply with this directive.

Purpose of the role

To analyse the AIFM Directive and subsequent regulations and national implementations, assess the impacts on the SWIP Business model, and help define and implement a future state business model that will comply with the directive.

Working in conjunction with the key stakeholders, the business analyst will be responsible for:

  • Analysing and documenting the impact of the regulations on the SWIP business model;
  • Co-ordinating the processes to identify and agree the appropriate future state business models to allow SWIP to comply with the regulations;
  • Documenting the resulting future state business models;
  • Supporting the introduction and implementation of the new business models.

Core Skills

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with:

  • A demonstrable depth of understanding of the Investment/Asset Management industry, processes and practices - particularly in relation to Finance and Financial Reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current regulatory standards such as UCITS.

The BA should be:

  • Experienced in defining revised business models to reflect regulatory change, and in supporting the introduction of these revised processes.
  • Experienced in dealing with a wide range of senior stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

Proven track record of analysing impacts of the AIFM Directive on an Asset Management business.
