Experienced Capital Modeller required on a contract basis for a leading bank.
As for the ideal criteria for potential resource, they'll need to be able to pick up existing technical documentation for a model and/or look at Igloo models and determine the methods and assumptions.
Therefore the key ones for me are:
- An experienced capital modeller who has awareness of the underlying concepts and different methodologies that can be implemented in a general insurer's capital model.
- A working knowledge of the concepts underlying general insurance business.
- Familiarity with the Igloo software platform. This is to enable the potential investigation within Igloo to determine the methods and assumptions. However, they won't be expected to code in Igloo.
