RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Archive data for retired applications and retain it as per RIM requirements so that the archived data can be accessed by Business, Legal and other regulatory purpose.
  • Maintain (Performance tune, backup, monitor) small SQL Server Database.
  • Upgrade/Apply Patch.
  • Create/configure interfaces with various data sources including SQL Server, Sybase, MS Access, Excel, Oracle, Informix, Flat Files.
  • Configure SSH Looping/Port forwarding.
  • Configure data access through Firewall.
  • Convert data types between different version of SQL Server as well as various database types.
  • Develop scripts to monitor Systems/Applications/Databases.
  • Develop procedures and packages.
  • Generate Reports using Windows Batch Scripts, VB Scripts, SSRS.
  • Interact with business users to gather data archive requirements.
  • Analyze source data before archiving.
  • Design, Configure and execute archive jobs.
SKILLS

Expertise in SQL Server DBA, Basic Windows Admin, Windows Batch Scripting, VB Scripting required. Working knowledge on data types (Binary, ntext), Sybase Admin & DBA, Oracle (2 years) required..NET Framework, WEB Technologies, OPTIM/Attunity/DB2 desired.
