A new 2 Year fixed term contract opportunity exists for a'solutions Architect to join this large scale Utilities Organisation based in the Northern Suburbs of brisbane to commence immediately.

Your Accountabilities
The Solutions Architect will work with business units to understand the nature of new business initiatives, and will provide initial evaluations and assessments regarding potential solutions. The Solutions Architect will work in partnership with the Manager, ICT Strategy and Architecture, the Information Architect and Business Integrators to produce the solution architecture deliverables and will lead the development of the following components of the Business Solution Design:
- Business, information/data and technology AS-IS designs
- High-level review of options
- TO-BE Solution design and recommendations
- Business, information/data and technology impact assessments
Key functions of the role include:
- Refine the scope and business requirements for proposed business change initiatives.
- Document and present the results of scope investigation work including issues, risks, constraints, costs and benefits;
- Identify the critical information and processes required to underpin business initiatives;
- Design and construct information and process models and structures required to support the scoping and initiation work;
- Analyse the overall architectural options for solutions for initiatives.
- Document and present these with a recommendation to move ahead;
- Assist management in the formulation of the recommended implementation options for the architectural solutions;
- Establish solution architecture principles, standards and approaches
- Collaborate, mentor and communicate with business people to ensure adoption of/compliance with, enterprise architecture principles, standards and approaches;
- Facilitate the Business Solution Design from specification, and continued participation through construction of the ICT solution to final delivery.
- Manage relationships and outcomes of vendors and delivery partners;
- Facilitate the update of Enterprise Architecture artefacts with each solution design.
Your Reporting Relationships
This position works within the ICT Strategy and Architecture team of the ICT Division and the position incumbent has a direct reporting line to the Lead Architect, Strategy & Architecture.
