SENIOR TECHNICAL ANALYST
Senior level individual capable of working as part of a multi-site multi-company team supporting the technical team in the installation, troubleshooting, use, and management of the project's technical tools. The project is implementing version 6 of IBM's Smarter Cities Curam Social Program Management Platform, including several add-on modules such as Reporting, Curam Provider management, Intelligent Evidence Gathering, Service Planning, Supervisor Workspace, Citizen Portal, and Global Income Support. The application utilizes WebSphere v8 executing within LPARS on IBM P7 AIX boxes and Windows 7 boxes, and Oracle 11g in RAC and non-RAC environments.
Will require interaction with systems programmers, application programmers, business analysts, business subject matter experts, project leadership, and other IT staff.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Assist programming team with development and testing within a Curam v6 environment.
- Assist programming team with development and testing of a conversion process, utilizing PL/SQL and POJO Java, from the Legacy custom in-house database to the customized Curam v6 environment.
- Installing, configuring and debugging Curam v6.0 runtime applications.
- Installing, configuring and debugging Curam v6.0 development environments.
- Troubleshooting, determining root cause and formulating technical solutions to Curam 6.0 application issues.
- Available to work onsite Monday to Thursday and offsite off hours and weekends as needed.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Required Experience:
- Senior level ability in troubleshooting, determining root cause and formulating technical solutions to Curam 6.0 application issues.
- Java v5 application design, programming and debugging utilizing Eclipse.
- ANT v1.8.2 script creation.
- Tomcat 6.0.20.
- Installation, application deployment, and troubleshooting of IBM WebSphere v8 in a Network Deployment environment.
- Oracle v11g SQL, PL/SQL.
- Use of TOAD v9 or above.
- Proficiency with business software (eg Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio etc.).
- Strong written and verbal English skills, with ability to generate complex technical documents and to brief development team on analysis performed.
- Installation and configuration of Rational Jazz Platform, v4.
- Installation, configuration, administration and use Rational ClearCase.
- Creation, installation, execution and troubleshooting of POJO and WebSphere Java applications executing within IBM AIX and Windows 7 environments.
- Ability to work independently or with cross-functional teams as required.
- Detail oriented.
