Who We’re Looking For
You are a seasoned Ruby on Rails developer who has worked in several different environments and come to appreciate a self-directed and flexible role. You know what it’s like to be interrupted throughout your day and are excited to work with people that value the maker’s schedule.

You transcend the left-brained developer stereotype, have an eye for design, and incorporate UX understanding into the things you build. You can articulate your thoughts and feelings with the written word. And if you weren’t coding so much, you’d love to write even more.

Oh, and also…

You have a history of delivering quality, scalable Ruby on Rails applications

You’re self-motivated to learn and incorporate new technologies and keep up with best practices

You’re proficient with MySQL (database and query optimization is a plus)

You have TDD discipline and expertise

You have strong communication skills and are receptive to constructive feedback

Some Specifics
We’re hiring for someone to start now. Your job will be full-time, salaried, and around 40 hours per week. You will be paid at or above market rate, we’ll figure out the details in the hiring process.

We’re looking for people who live in the United States. Once hired, you’ll have the flexibility to work from anywhere. You can choose when to start and end work each day. You will have full health and dental benefits. If you need a new laptop, we’ll get you one (it’s yours). When you’re ready for a new phone, we’ll buy you one. We’ll also pay for your phone bill. If you want an office space outside the home, we’ll provide a coworking space in your area.
