Description
The role:Support the organisation by ensuring the highest standard of product quality is produced and maintained by the Company and its Suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect products received from suppliers to verify if standards, specifications and correct quantities have been achieved
- When appropriate, visit suppliers to communicate requirements and to assess product quality prior to its shipment
- Assist in Supplier audits
- Liaise with Procurement/ Engineering / Production / Operations regarding QC issues
- Initiate Corrective/Preventive Action Reports in accordance with company Quality Management System requirements
- QC Inspect products assembled and supplied prior to shipment
- Assist in the QC inspection of Leased Equipment
- QC Inspect Leased/Customer Owned products repaired by the company
- Support Company and Customer Acceptance (FAT) Procedures
- Assist in the development and improvement of companies Quality Management System QC Inspection procedures
- Inspect Safety Critical Equipment in compliance with applicable regulations and company processes
- Monitor the calibration status of company test equipment and ensure that items are tested as planned and as required
- Adhere to and support the implementation of the Companies Quality, Heath & Safety and Environmental Management System requirements
- Convey a professional image of the company at all times
- Support the Companies Training and Competency Program
- Carry out any other tasks within the competence of the role and the duty holder
Qualifications:
- A working knowledge of Electronic components and their assembly
- Qualification and knowledge of IPC standards
- Experience in a QC Position including Inspection Reporting and witnessing FATs
- Experience in inspecting Safety Critical equipment
- Experience of Supplier QC Inspection visits
- Knowledge and experience of Quality & Safety Management Systems
- Internal Audit Qualification (ISO 9001:2008)
- Excellent Communications Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
