Our client is seeking a Workflow & Online Forms Developer who will report to the Project Manager. This technical officer will have experience in the development of pdf-based forms for online services, and in converting documented processes to software-managed workflows in any standard workflow management application. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will work closely with other staff in the program, including the Permission Application Centre and Operations Division, IT testers and Business Analysts, as well as EMPIC which supplies the application. Critical to the role will be the ability to to understand the licensing and permissions assessment processes defined in existing manuals, and be able to translate these to the new workflow tool.

Responsibilities:

  • Undergoing on-the-job training on the departments workflow management application;
  • Reviewing departments licensing and permissions assessment processes;
  • Implementing workflows for licencing and permissions assessment in the departments workflow management application;
  • Providing advice on enhancements to the workflow management application that may improve efficiency or utility; and
  • Preparing documents as may be required by the Project Manager.
  • As a Technical Support officer you will be required to work within a Program to implement a COTS product specific to the aviation industry within a government department.

    You will need to have:

    • Proven experience in workflow management and automation;
    • Proven experience in the development of populatable pdf-based forms for online services;
    • Experience in processing applications for statutory permissions, licences or approvals;
    • Experience providing accurate information in technical and non-technical language to project teams, including both oral and written reporting.

    It is highly desirable for the you to have proven knowledge and experience in the following:

  • Working within a team and across teams;
  • Preparing trial and evaluation reports for IT applications; and
  • Basic process mapping principles and methodologies, particularly BPMN.
