You will be able to demonstrate expertise
- To ensure that, for all requests, the standard network architecture and device configurations are adhered to by our global network partner.
- In addition, the network engineer will interface with the other groups within ITSS, to address any issues in order to complete the request or project in a timely manner.
- Has worked before a global organization and has good communication skills (good knowledge of spoken and written English is required).
- Responsible for placing circuit, hardware and software orders for projects and RFS's assigned to him and will ensure that security and quality (QA) requirements are met in all plans and actions.
- Good technical expertise in campus switching and backbone routing is required
- Has the opportunity to work in a large and open campus where the IT community is part of a diverse workforce with many different skills and experiences
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and work with our suppliers and vendors to execute them.
- Very good technical expertise in network security, with hands-on experience in security products from major vendors.
- Technical expertise in, Cisco Routers, catalyst and Nexus Switches, F5 LTM and APM devices, Riverbed Steelhead appliances, Juniper VPN Routers
- Vendor certification is a plus, although proven experience in a network group for a large multinational company is equally important.
- Expertise in delivering network services for clients in various network architectures and in different parts of the world.
- Experience in a regulated organization, preferably healthcare, where change management and formal approval flow are part of the IT culture.
- Experience developing and implementing short-term tactical efforts focused on providing observable, measurable improvements to infrastructure, end users, operational counterparts, and business partners.
- Deliver project solutions to specified requirements on schedule and within budget following appropriate IM methodologies.

- Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines;
- Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus, continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
- English spoken and written; - Dutch is a plus
