Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Email Administrator to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction through the efficient administration of Email, Groupware and related systems within Defence (DCCS) project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • to resolve incidents and requests from customers within relevant service levels;
  • identifying, diagnosing and resolving technical problems relating to Email and Groupware and related systems;
  • participate in post incident reviews and provide input to incident reports;
  • monitor and report on performance of Email and Groupware and related systems;
  • provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members;
    provide direction and expert advice to regional on site support staff in the performance of support as required;
  • contribute to improving the performance and availability of Email and Groupware and related systems;
  • produce Standard Operating Procedures and Operational Instructions.

Skills and experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Exchange messaging systems with and systems administrator role supporting highly-available secure Exchange environments;
  • Demonstrated experience relating to the installation, configuration and support of multi-site Exchange environments that deliver high availability and disaster recovery;
  • Hands-on experience with Windows , Exchange , Group Policy Objects, Active Directory, DAG and LDAP;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange PowerShell commands needed to manage Exchange features, roles, mailboxes, performance and troubleshooting;
  • Relevant and demonstrated experience in Scripting, specifically power Scripting to automate processes in MS Exchange;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to the spectrum of enterprise stake holders inclusive of external stakeholders;
  • Capacity to multi-task and successfully manage competing priorities; demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve new problems or known errors, make recommendations that result in prompt, effective corrective action to restore existing services;
  • Certification in MS Exchange 2003, 2007 or 2010 required;
  • Previous experience in a hosted Exchange environment relating to migration and setup.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS who currently hold a SECRET/NV1 security clearance.
